🎓 Congratulations to our team member Sergio Salvad 🎓 Congratulations to our team member Sergio Salvador on the successful defense of his PhD thesis, Wired for Inequality: Power and Privilege in the Cyberpunk Dystopia, supervised by María Ferrández San Miguel @maria_fsm_unizar and Francisco Collado Rodríguez.

Sergio's research explores one of the most influential genres of contemporary speculative fiction: cyberpunk. Through an examination of dystopian futures shaped by advanced technologies, corporate power, and social stratification, his work investigates how cyberpunk narratives reveal the persistence of inequality and privilege in an increasingly technological world.

Throughout his doctoral journey, Sergio has made significant contributions to the study of science fiction, technology, and culture, advancing our understanding of how speculative narratives engage with pressing social and political issues.

We are proud to celebrate this important achievement and welcome Dr. Sergio Salvador among the newest doctors in the field. We look forward to seeing the future impact of his research.

Congratulations, Dr. Salvador! 👏✨

📚 New publication by our team member Rubén Peinado 📚 New publication by our team member Rubén Peinado-Abarrio!

His latest article, “Gothic and Posthuman Maternity in Kate Zambreno’s Drifts,” has been published in *British and American Studies*.

Drawing on Gothic Studies, feminist theory, and posthumanism, the article examines how Kate Zambreno's *Drifts* reimagines pregnancy and motherhood through figures of monstrosity, haunting, and uncanny doubling. By challenging traditional notions of identity and embodiment, the novel presents maternity as a transformative and relational experience that reshapes the boundaries of the self.

Congratulations, Rubén, on this excellent contribution to contemporary literary and cultural studies! 👏
