
Alessandra Martín González is a PhD candidate in English Studies at the University of Zaragoza, under the supervision of Dr. María Ferrández San Miguel. In 2023, she graduated in English Studies at the University of Salamanca. In 2024, she obtained a master’s degree in Creative Writing at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2024-2025 she worked as a language assistant in Harrow High School, London.
She has published the paper “Fear, Creativity and Posthumanism: the Archetype of the Female Heroine in Octavia Butler’s Science Fiction” in the monographic Encadenadas a las letras (Dykinson, 2025). Her research interests include posthumanism, trauma theory, gender studies and africanfuturism in North American speculative fiction.
